Eclectic Ellapu Monthly Challenge - Midsummer

It is a Midsummer challenge this month for the Pink Team at Eclectic Ellapu.

For my card, I first sponged distress inks onto a white cardstock panel; I stamped a row of mushrooms from the MFP Mushroom Selections stamp set; the dream is from the Michaels Dollar bin found years ago.  The fairy is a Spellbinders die.

We hope you will share your midsummer cards and/or projects with us at the Eclectic Ellapu challenge found HERE.

Altered Eclectics Monthly Challenge

This is my Altered Eclectics project for the month of June.  I purchased some ceramic tiles at a local hardware store so I could repurpose them into drink coasters!  I used Adirondack Alcohol Inks to put color on the tiles and when dry I used some rub-on decals to decorate the coasters.  These coasters have not yet been sealed or used, but I think they turned out very pretty, more for decoration than use.  They could also be displayed on an easel and will make fun gifts.

We hope you'll alter, repurpose, reuse, or recycle something and join in with this month's challenge found HERE at the Altered Eclectics Challenge Blog.

MFP Stamps Challenge - Turquoise Color Challenge

This week's MFP Stamps Challenge is a color challenge to use Turquoise.  Can also use white, black, and one other color.

For my card I used the MFP Stamps Shop Shello stamp set.  I sponged Tempting Turquoise ink on the die cut circle then stamped the sea turtle image, used a mask of the turtle and stamped the sea grass so it appears behind the turtle image.  I also did a little water splatter on the circle and used sequins to embellish my card.

We hope you'll share your Turquoise cards with us this week.  You can find the challenge HERE.

The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge - Let's Get In Shape!

The challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters is to create a shaped card, exceptions:  no square or rectangle card shapes!

For my card, I used the Spellbinders Octagon Dies to cut out my card shape.  I then used the same die to cutout the layering panel that I sponged distress ink to create the sky and sand.  The sentiment is from a MFP Stamp Shop stamp set; the dies are from Impression Obsession.

We hope you'll share your shaped cards with us for the Let's Get In Shape! challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters.  You can find the challenge HERE.

Ruby's Rainbow Challenge - Color Challenge!

The Ruby's Rainbow Challenge is to use Red, Green, and white/cream colors.

For my card, I used white cardbase, red and green layering panels.  The bright colored panel was created using Yupo paper and red and green Adirondack Alcohol Inks.  The stitched panels were die cut using Lil Inkers Stitched Rectangle dies.  The sentiment banner was cut from banner dies, the butterfly was punched out using a Stampin Up punch.  Sentiment stamp is Stampabilities Celebrate You.

We hope you'll share your red, green, white/cream cards with us at Ruby's Rainbow.  You can find the challenge HERE.

JessicaLynnOriginal.com Custom Stamp Blog Hop

Custom stamps are fun and have special meaning to the person who requests the stamp.  I want to thank Jessica of JessicaLynnOriginal.com for creating this special custom stamp for me as part of the Design Team.

The reason I requested this particular image as my custom stamp, 1.  I love butterflies!  and 2.  As a two-time survivor of breast cancer I wanted a custom stamp that I could create cards and/or projects to send to family and friends to remind them that awareness and early detection are the best ways to detect and beat this cancer if diagnosed, so just a reminder to keep up with those mammograms!  The butterfly with cancer ribbon is so very versatile in that it can be used to create any cancer awareness color.

Each design team member has a different custom stamp based on their requests.  Be sure to visit each one!  Here's the lineup:

Just a note that I am stepping down from the JLO design team at the end of this blog hop.  I have enjoyed being part of the team and will always LOVE and continue creating with Brentwood Owl and all of the stamps created by Jessica.
