MFP Stamps Challenge - Anything Goes!

 
 
This week's MFP Stamps Challenge is anything goes!
 
For my card, I used the MFP Stamp Shop Hello Butterflies stamp set.  I die cut the side of the white panel and layered a green panel under it.  The butterfly was stamped and colored using green Copic marker and then fussy cut and adhered to the panel; the sentiment is also from the Hello Butterflies stamp set.

I used the MFP Stamp Shop Island Life for the image and sentiment.  I colored the image using Copic Markers.  I used the paper tearing technique then sponged distress ink around the torn edges.  The image panel was adhered to a rectangle of burlap and embellished using a small knotted piece of rope.

I used the MFP Stamp Shop coffee circle from the Java Time stamp set to highlight the sentiment; the shells are from the Silly Shells set, and the sentiment is from the Island Life set.  The background was created by dragging the edge of 3 distress ink colors directly across the cardstock.  I embellished using a thin piece of rope to frame the stamped panel.

The Sisterhood of Crafters - Love Letters!

 
The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge is Love Letters...use the word Love and/or a Heart on your project.  The theme was chosen by DT member Diane.
 
For my card, I used traditional Valentine's Day colors...red and white.  The background was created using a Tim Holtz die, the heart is Spellbinders, the butterfly is CheeryLynn.  The sentiment is from the MFP Stamp Shop Lotus Blossoms stamp set.

I used the MFP Stamp Shop Silly Goose stamp set and the sentiment is from the Island Life set.  The frame is from the SU On Frame die, the waves die cut is from Taylored Expressions die, the surfboard is from Cottage Cutz, the sand is from PTI In the Meadow die.  Clouds were punched out using a Fiskars clouds punch.  The image was fussy cut and popped up using dimensionals.  ( again used the "soft edges" editing feature for my card photo)

OLCCC - Anything One Layer Christmas Goes!

For my card, I wanted to create a card that has a background resembling abstract art into a one layer Christmas card.  I used distress inks and the PTI Watercolor Wonder stamp set.

For my first Beach card I used the MFP Stamp Shop Silly Shells stamp set.  I used the sail boat image and the relax sentiment from that set.  My card is created using Fabriano Notecards.  I watercolored the image and background using Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens.  (When editing my card I used a program feature called soft edges....not sure that I like that editing feature, but thought I'd give it a try.)

Serendipity Stamps Challenge - Stripes

 
Back in October I participated in the Hope You Can Cling To challenge on Splitcoaststampers.  As a result, those who participated were entered into prize drawings!  I was so very fortunate to win the gift certificate from Serendipity Stamps!  Thank you Serendipity Stamps for being a HYCCT sponsor.
 
I fell in love with this stamp and used part of my winnings for it (I also used the winnings to get a coordinating stamp and dies, that will be used another day!)  This image reminds me so much of my granddaughters!
 
I stamped the image onto watercolor paper and colored it using Zig Clean Color Real Brush pens and a waterbrush.  The striped DSP is from a retired Stampin' Up paper pack.  The image is called Cowgirl.

CWWC Challenge - Celebrate Any Occasion !!

 
We are celebrating any occasion at the CWWC Challenge!  For my card I chose to celebrate a belated birthday!
 
Our challenge sponsor is Art By Miran.  The image I used was provided by the sponsor and is called Babycakes.
 
I created a side-step card using green and pink cardstock and designer paper.  I fussy cut the image.  The cupcakes are from a SU cupcakes punch, the butterfly is CheeryLynn die, MS Lace Border punch, the sentiment is from a PTI birthday stamp set.  I embellished using cherry brad, pearls, and a small clothespin.

MFP Stamps Challenge - Color Challenge - Blue!

 
This week's MFP Stamps Challenge is to use the color Blue as the main color; white, black, and one other color can be used with Blue!
 
For my card, I used the MFP Stamp Shop Coneflowers stamp set.  I fussy cut the flowers, colored them using shades of blue Copic markers and green for the stems and leaves.  Created a die cut using the SU On Frame die, the butterfly is a cheery Lynn die.  Cardstock and DSP are from my stash.

Ruby's Rainbow Challenge - Animal Magic

 
Ruby's Rainbow Challenge Animal Magic theme was chosen by Helen N.
 
For my card, I used the American Art Stamp by artist Emerson Quillin, Be Yourself.  I colored the image using Copic Markers, die cut it using Avery Elle Wonky Stitched Rectangles die, embellished using ribbon, twine, round button, and a dog bone button.  The cardstock and papers are from my stash.

For my card, I used a Fabriano notecard to stamp the Inkadinkado winter scene stamp using Memento Rich Cocoa ink.  The sentiment is from Taylored Expressions Joy to the World stamp set.

The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge - Use Something Old and Something New

 
Lisa challenged us at The Sisterhood of Crafters is to use Something Old and Something New on our creation.
 
For my card, I used papers from an old DCWV Nana's Kids mat stack, an old Martha Stewart Border Punch, a stitched rectangle die I've had for several months, the Stampin Up Word Bubble die I've had for at least a year, and the new is a totally adorable stamp and die set from Avery Elle called Beary Sweet Wishes.  I created a multi-looped bow to embellish my card.

For my card the something new is a piece of designer paper from my new foiled designer paper pack.  I used a clip art of chili peppers to adorn the bowl of chili image!  The Hello sentiment is from PTI Mini Blooms stamp set.

MFP Stamps Challenge - Stamp With Acrylic Blocks

 
This week's MFP Stamps Challenge is to stamp with acrylic blocks.  There will be a tutorial link on the challenge blog.
 
For my card, I used 4 different colors of distress inks to ink up and stamp using an acrylic block.  I then used Archival Black ink to stamp an image over the colors using the MFP Stamp Shop Glad Glads stamp set.  I colored the image using copic markers.  To embellish my card I created a multi-loop twine bow and added some adhesive pearls in the upper right corner.

Double D Challenges - Forget Me Not

 
New Year new challenge blog!  Double D Challenges is a new challenge blog with a team of great designers.  The first challenge uses this inspiration board of Forget Me Nots and the challenge is to use blue and flowers on your creation:
 
 
For my card, I used the PTI Mini Blooms stamp set.  Colored direct to the stamp using Aqua Markers then spritzed with a bit of water and stamped onto Ranger watercolor paper.  The background is a SU background stamp inked using crumb cake, the sentiment is part of the Mini Blooms set stamped using Archival Black ink.

For my card, I used a new stamp set I received in a holiday secret sister swap called Sea Life from MFT.  For the background I used distress inks by swiping the pad direct to the cardstock.

Gruffies & Guests January Challenge - Bingo Board Inspiration!

 
This month's challenge at Gruffies & Guests uses this Bingo Board:

For my card, I chose Flowers, Brown, and Lace to add to my card.
The image is House Mouse stamp Warm Cup; I stamped it using Archival Black ink and then watercolored the image and background using Zig Real Brush Real Color pens.  The cardstock, paper, and lace are from my stash; the flowers are Prima.

MFP Stamps Challenge - CAS with a Snow Theme

 
 
The MFP Stamps Challenge this week is to create a CAS (clean and simple) card using snow as the theme!
 
For my card, I used the MFP Stamp Shop Please Snow stamp set.  The card base is Kraft as is the layered panel.  I stamp the sentiment and image using Memento Black ink and colored the snowman & trees using White Pigment ink and Copic markers.  I had drew a snowy hill to nestle the snowman and trees; the hill is also colored using white pigment ink.  To finish my card I sponged the edges with the white ink.
